AMG Foundation

Aspire. Motivate. Give. AMG Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization in Alberta. We provide the legal and charitable framework that allows Tech Connect Alberta to run programs, events, and initiatives supporting entrepreneurs, volunteers, and under-resourced organizations.

Tech Connect Alberta is a community-driven social enterprise that connects people, technology, and purpose. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Calgary, the network hosts workshops, meetups, Discord channels, and career support for thousands of members across Alberta. Operating under the AMG Foundation umbrella, Tech Connect hosts workshops, meetups, active Discord channels, and networking events where aspiring and seasoned professionals connect, share skills, and build lasting relationships.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, our community helps members access job openings across Alberta-based companies, startups, and community partners — with support for resume building, interview preparation, referrals, and personal development.

Terry Wong
Terry is a leader in municipal, law enforcement, housing, Southeast Asian ethno-cultural, arts & culture, and Calgary health care community through his service as Ward 7 City Councillor, Calgary Police Commissioner, Calgary Housing and Attainable Homes Board Director, Executive Director of the Chinatown Business Improvement Area, Sien Lok Society Board Director, Calgary Arts Development Board Director, and Member of the Alberta Regional Advisory Committee on Health. Today, Terry combines his professional experience, relationships, and skills in his new consulting firm - Strategic Collaboration Partners.

Francis Aranha

Francis Aranha
Francis is a community leader and policy professional with extensive experience in education reform, international trade and cross-sector partnerships in Canada. He has contributed to initiatives with organizations such as the Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services, advancing inclusive education and system-level impact. Francis is deeply engaged in board leadership and governance, bringing strategic oversight and advisory expertise to nonprofit and community organizations. He plays an active role in strengthening Alberta–India trade relations and serves on the Premier of Alberta’s Anti-Racism Committee, contributing to policies that promote equity and inclusion. He is also involved with the Calgary Interfaith Council, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and mutual understanding across diverse communities.

Musap 'Moose' Abdel
Musap “Moose” Abdel is a visionary entrepreneur, community leader, and changemaker whose work bridges technology, education, and social impact. He is a two-time ASTech Award finalist in the category of Innovation and Social Impact, recognized for advancing equitable access to technology and transformational youth programming in Alberta. He is the Founder & CEO of Struggle Is Your Success (SIYS), a non-profit that has empowered over 450 youth—particularly BIPOC, newcomer, and justice-involved young people through entrepreneurship, mentorship, and innovation. Under his leadership, SIYS has reduced youth recidivism while cultivating inclusive leaders who are breaking cycles of marginalization and building pathways to opportunity. Beyond SIYS, Moose is the Founder and Managing Partner of QA Enterprises, an AI consultancy helping businesses streamline operations, boost productivity, and innovate through intelligent solutions. He is also the Founder of Mini Techies, an ed-tech platform that teaches youth STEM and AI through gamified learning, supported by a parental dashboard that tracks learning progress. Through these ventures, Moose is shaping the future of business and education by integrating cutting-edge technology with human centered design.
